Your view will take in the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis, as important in its day as its larger sister city of Ephesus, gliding over the ancient theatre and its vast Necropolis. You will marvel at the ancient structures, some still intact passing over Cleopatra Pool (where the great Queen once stayed) and down over the travertines themselves to the base just outside Pamukkale village. Viewing the sky blue thermal pools below you, the scenery is magical and unique. The only other place in the world you are likely to see these natural structures is in Yellowstone Park in America. Needless to say these are yellow in colour and not white, as are those formed here in Pamukkale.
